Volleyball Recap: Bishop Carroll Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Bishop Carroll came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the South Titans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bishop Carroll took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Lauren DeGroot and Sophia Smith, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Natalie Sill and her 25 assists.

Bishop Carroll's win bumped their record up to 28-1. As for South, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-26-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bishop Carroll is set to face off against their familiar foe Heights at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, South will challenge rival Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Tuesday.
