Softball Recap: Magnolia's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Magnolia had lost six games at home, but after bumping their record up to 2-12 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Saddleback Roadrunners by a score of 21-16. This was a revenge game for the Sentinels: when they faced off against the Roadrunners on April 4th, they had to take a 19-5 loss.

As for Saddleback, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games.

For Saddleback's part, they got a massive performance out of Cassandra Cervantes, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Amie Victoriano was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple.

Magnolia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-11 victory against Century on the 25th. As for Saddleback, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-5 defeat against Bolsa Grande on the 28th.
