The Silver Bluff Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 25 points or more this season. They blew past Fox Creek, posting a 73-6 win on the road. Silver Bluff's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Krystal Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. Ahminah Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Even though they lost, Fox Creek were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Silver Bluff only pulled down 19 offensive rebounds.
The victory was the ninth in a row for Silver Bluff, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.44 points. As for Fox Creek, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silver Bluff will take on Barnwell at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Barnwell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Silver Bluff is ranked 34th). As for Fox Creek, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Pelion at 6:15 p.m. on January 11th.
