Valley Oaks CES was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 50-37 to the Community Charter Titans. One positive for the Vanguards, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Community Charter to victory were Daniel Amescua and Edem Ladzepko. Amescua dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds, while Ladzepko dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Ladzepko is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 52% in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was David Catalan, who posted five points and four steals.
Valley Oaks CES's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Community Charter, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-15.
