Even though the Pittsfield Generals scored an imposing 65 points on Monday, the Taconic Thunder still came out on top. Taconic took their contest against Pittsfield 76-65. The win was familiar territory for Taconic who now have three in a row.
Pittsfield lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Malachi Perry, who scored 16 points. The game was Perry's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Pat Brennan, who scored 13 points.
Taconic's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Pittsfield, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Taconic will be playing in front of their home fans against Springfield International at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pittsfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Agawam at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Agawam's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
