The Sulphur Bulldogs were the 39-26 winner over the Plainview Indians when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Sulphur ended up on the wrong side of a rough 41-21 walloping at the hands of Plainview on Friday. While losing is never fun, Sulphur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Plainview is ranked 101st).
Jacelyn Hammon was her usual excellent self, scoring ten points along with eight steals for Plainview. The matchup was Hammon's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emilee Hedger, who scored seven points along with five steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sulphur won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lindsay at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th. The timing is sure in Lindsay's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Sulphur has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Plainview won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Pauls Valley on January 6th.
