This season hasn't been kind to The Volunteer Falcons, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 33-14 to Grainger. Volunteer lost against Grainger in their previous head to head back in September of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 28-7 score last time.
Volunteer's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Keelin Releford, who rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown, and Owen Fleenor who rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown.
Volunteer's defeat was their 11th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. As for Grainger, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Volunteer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grainger also has no future games currently scheduled.
