The Marbury Bulldogs only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point they dealt the Elmore County Panthers on Thursday. Everything went Marbury's way against Elmore County as Marbury made off with a 61-38 win. With that victory, Marbury brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marbury to victory, but perhaps none more so than DJ Graham, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Graham is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Driver, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds.
Marbury's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-12. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Elmore County, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.
Marbury will play host again and welcome Sylacauga, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Marbury focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. Elmore County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
