Dent is regarded as the No. 5 prospect in the Class of 2019 in the country overall by
247Sports.
The 6-foot, 170-pound Sunshine State star picked the Seminoles over Miami, LSU and Clemson among his 15 offers.
Florida State now has commitments from seven members of the 2019 class.
Dent played at Pahokee as a sophomore, helping the Blue Devils go 12-2 and win the Class 1A state title (which was later vacated). The honorable mention All-State pick was previously committed to Miami.
