The Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They strolled past Otis with points to spare, taking the game 47-33. That's another feather in the cap for Haxtun, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Emily Anderson, who scored 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Jayleigh Bullard was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Aedyn Tribelhorn and Madelyn Willeke certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Tribelhorn scored six points along with six assists and three steals, while Willeke scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Haxtun's win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Otis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Haxtun will play host again and welcome Holyoke, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Holyoke focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. As for Otis, they will head out on the road to challenge Caliche at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Caliche focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 on Friday.
