East Jefferson scored a stunning upset when it knocked off St. Augustine, 26-21. At the time, the Purple Knights were ranked 24th in the state, while the Warriors were 38th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Augustine, who took down 24th ranked St. Augustine, 26-21.
Holy Cross's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tucker Herzog threw for 144 and one touchdown and Wardell Robinson had 56 yards receiving. On the ground Todd Spriggins chipped in 134 yards. Kevin Spears helped Holy Cross' passing attack out by catching two balls for 42 yards.
Holy Cross' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. James Tabary has thrown for 1244 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Spears has 42 catches for 713 yards. Spriggins leads the league in rushing with 714 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Tigers take on East Jefferson. Holy Cross' offense has scored 234 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Dominic Saltaformaggio's team has allowed only 109 on the year.

The Warriors were able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Cyril Crutchfield's team. East Jefferson came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 38 last week.
