The biggest upset of the week belonged to Frazier, who took down 281st ranked Bethlehem Center, 21-14.
Carmichaels extended the longest winning streak in WPIAL A Tri-County South this week by beating Avella, 52-14. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Mighty Mikes.
6-foot-3 quarterback Gino Faieta of the Bulldogs is the league leader in passing yards this season with 558. He has also thrown four touchdowns. On the ground, Jefferson-Morgan's Dustin Conti has rushed for 760 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Zack Thompson. The Avella star has 11 catches for 343 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bethlehem Center takes on the Eagles. At the moment, Ed Woods' team is in first, while Avella is in fifth.
There should be lots of points scored when the Bulldogs and Ryan Cecchini's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Bethlehem Center comes in having scored 236 this season, while the Eagles have scored 217. The Bulldogs scored 14 points last week as they lost to the Commodores.
Frazier moved up to 429 from 501 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in WPIAL A Tri-County South. Mike Steeber's team climbed the ranks as a result of besting Bethlehem Center 21-14.
