The Lower Richland Diamond Hornets stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 51-19 victory over Orangeburg-Wilkinson. The win was familiar territory for Lower Richland who now have seven in a row.
Lower Richland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Pa'nanjala Curry led the charge by dropping a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds. Chi?nya Isaac was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Lower Richland's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-6. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.3 points. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-4.
Lower Richland will head out on the road to challenge Dreher at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lower Richland is facing Dreher at the right time seeing as Dreher is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Orangeburg-Wilkinson, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Brookland-Cayce at 6:00 p.m. Brookland-Cayce will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Orangeburg-Wilkinson is ranked 57th).
