The Richard Winn Academy Eagles will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Holly Hill Academy Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Holly Hill Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Richard Winn Academy, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Richard Winn Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 victory over Cambridge Academy. 43 seems to be a good number for Richard Winn Academy as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meagan Brigman was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 8 points along with 13 rebounds. Delaney Young was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Holly Hill Academy had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 44-11 defeat at the hands of Andrew Jackson Academy two weeks ago.
Their wins bumped Richard Winn Academy to 2-0 and Cambridge Academy to 3-2.
Richard Winn Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Holly Hill Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 46-42 victory.
