The Camden Blue Devils lost against the Rome Free Academy Black Knights back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Camden took a serious blow against Rome Free Academy, falling 58-24. Camden has struggled against Rome Free Academy recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Rome Free Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Haylee Bostwick led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nijae Matthews, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Camden's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rome Free Academy, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Camden will square off against Carthage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carthage comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Rome Free Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Notre Dame/Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
