The Clarke County Bulldogs were the 60-21 winner over the Shields Panthers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Clarke County took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shields.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shields to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adrian Watts, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Watts is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last six games he's played. Dante Leffall was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Clarke County has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 2-6 record. As for Shields, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Clarke County will play host again and welcome Jackson, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jackson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Clarke County likes a good challenge. As for Shields, they will take on Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
