The Kenston Bombers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 48-38 win over South on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for Kenston, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kenston found their leader in underclassman Morgan Cicek, who scored 22 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cicek has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amy Jarmolowicz, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Kenston's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for South, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Kenston will head out on the road to take on Mayfield at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mayfield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for South, they will be playing at home against Garfield Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
