The Franklin Academy Huskies were the  53-45 winner over the Plattsburgh Hornets when they last played one another  last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Franklin Academy received a tough blow  on Wednesday as they fell  65-49 to Plattsburgh.
 Franklin Academy lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Bradley Poupore, who  scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ian Mulverhill, who  scored nine points.
 Franklin Academy's defeat  ended a three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-3. As for Plattsburgh, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
 Franklin Academy will head out on the road to face off against Gouverneur at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. Gouverneur is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Plattsburgh will take on Northeastern Clinton at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Northeastern Clinton will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 481st, while Plattsburgh is ranked 201st).
