The University Trailblazers were the 61-45 winner over the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. University was beaten by Greenwood Christian Academy 68-40 on Saturday.
University's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cooper Cammack, who scored 8 points. Blake Gray was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
University has fallen quite a ways from their 22-3 record last season and are now at 1-2. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
University will be playing in front of their home fans against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Covenant Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
