Dixon hasn't had much luck against Croatan recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Croatan took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Dixon, who comes in off a win.
Dixon's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over White Oak. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Grady Barnes tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Dixon is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 8-10 otherwise.
At the plate, Nick Lacugna was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Seth Vincent was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Dixon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Croatan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-2 to Swansboro. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since April 7th.
Croatan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Griffin, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Another was Weston Thomas, who earned one run and two stolen bases.
The win got Dixon back to even at 11-11. As for Croatan, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
