The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Clair, who defeated 95th ranked Marine City, 43-33.
Adding to the longest winning streak in Macomb Area - Gold this week, the Saints beat the Mariners 43-33. The win marks eighth in a row for the St. Clair.
Alex Merchant threw for 334 yards and 2 touchdowns. He went 13-27 with 0 interceptions.
Josh Smith was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 110 yards as Marysville fell to William Nesbitt's team. Teammate Brandon Stevenson added to the ground attack by rushing for 63 yards.
Ron Glodich's team's Merchant and Patsalis led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Merchant has thrown for 1,201 yards this season, while Patsalis has 26 catches for 769 yards. Stevenson from the Vikings leads the league in rushing with 834 yards.
The Saints moved up to 106 from 152 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Macomb Area - Gold. St. Clair was able to move up by topping the Mariners 43-33.
