Basketball Recap: Alivia Bolinger's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran over Dekalb

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran lost against DeKalb back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DeKalb Barons. Even though they lost, the Cadets' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.3 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alivia Bolinger, who went 8 for 17 on her way to 25 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Bolinger has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Cella Kaiser, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6. As for DeKalb, they moved to 5-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 75-61 loss against Carroll on the 13th. As for DeKalb, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-39 victory against Leo on the 13th.
