DeWitt fell to Riverview 6-35 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. DeWitt narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Riverview 20-17. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
The victory bumped DeWitt's record up to 1-0. The loss dropped Riverview's record to 1-0.
Next week, DeWitt take on Carlisle at 7:00 PM. As for Riverview, they will face off against Highland.
