After losing to Dillon the last time they met, Scott's Branch decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Scott's Branch Eagles pulled ahead with a 42-41 photo finish over the Dillon Wildcats on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Despite the loss, Dillon still got an impressive performance from Ayonna Lester, who went 8 for 17 on her way to 19 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave Lester a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khwnylahi Mckinnon, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 10 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Scott's Branch's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Dillon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Scott's Branch will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bethune-Bowman at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. Dillon also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Lake View at 6:00 p.m. on January 8th.
