After flying high against the Waupaca Comets last Friday, the Maranatha Baptist Crusaders came back down to earth. Maranatha Baptist was the victim of a tough 59-34 defeat at the hands of the Eagles on Saturday. If Maranatha Baptist was looking for revenge after losing 71-56 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Annie Sichting continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tabernacle Christian, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten assists. Sichting hasn't dropped below four steals for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Liz Southerland, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Maranatha Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Tabernacle Christian, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Maranatha Baptist will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Firebirds at 6:00 p.m. As for Tabernacle Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Colonial Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
