Deerfield-Windsor put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. It was close, but they capped 2024 with a 41-38 win over the Valley Rams. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 27th in Georgia, while the Rams are ranked 303rd in Alabama), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Valley still got an impressive performance from Galvin Goss, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Goss a new career-high in assists (four). Azerion Jennings was another key player, putting up nine points.

Deerfield-Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Deerfield-Windsor and Calvary Christian will face off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
