The Kenwood Bluebirds will head out on the road to take on the Woodlawn Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodlawn took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kenwood, who comes in off a win.
In what's become a running theme this season, Kenwood gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dundalk 59-29 on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kenwood.
Diamond Watters continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Green, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Woodlawn suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were beaten by Hereford 75-35. While losing is never fun, Woodlawn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Hereford is ranked 38th).
The win got Kenwood back to even at 5-5. As for Woodlawn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Kenwood strolled past Woodlawn in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 by a score of 50-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kenwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
