Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Herscher duked it out with Gardner-South Wilmington on Thursday. Herscher put the hurt on Gardner-South Wilmington with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by nine runs or more so far this season.
Logan Egerton was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Jones, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
