North Stanly is 8-1 against Albemarle since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. North Stanly entered their tilt with Mount Pleasant with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. North Stanly took down Mount Pleasant 33-16 on Friday.
Aden Allsbrook was a one-man wrecking crew for North Stanly as he rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Jay Jackson, who gained 101 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Albemarle put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season last Thursday. They breezed by Union Academy at home to the tune of 38-6. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Albemarle had established a 24 point advantage.
Albemarle got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Malik Watkins out in front who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Another big playmaker for Albemarle was Ja?Zyion Geiger, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
North Stanly's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points per game. As for Albemarle, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
