Tot Pacheco Drops League-Best Performance on Thursday
Starting off the list is St. David's Tot Pacheco, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pacheco picked up 43 receiving yards and a touchdown.
St. David's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Pacheco and St. David will be playing at home against Desert Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Yahir Luna's Big Game Leads Valley Union over Duncan
Yahir Luna was a major factor in Valley Union's victory over Duncan on Friday. Luna was dynamite, rushing for 97 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.
This year, Luna has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 107.1 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 4.57 rushing yards per game.

Myles Richardson Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Valley Union got the W thanks in part to Myles Richardson playing the best football he has all season. Richardson rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 85 yards.
For the year, Richardson has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 44.9 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 5.71 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 75.43 rushing yards.

While San Manuel might've come up empty on Friday, Tanner Decker wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the defeat, Decker was still balling out as he rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 60 yards.
San Manuel dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Decker and San Manuel will be playing in front of their home fans against Baboquivari at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Luke Haymore Makes It Two for St. David
The second St. David player making an appearance here is Luke Haymore, and for good reason. He rushed for 23 yards and a touchdown.
Fort Thomas had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Haymore it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Haymore saw the Apaches), he picked up 90 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
