Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Warren Central walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Neshoba Central Rockets a 6-0 shutout on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 11 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Neshoba Central with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Addi Mullen (2), Melissa Herrle (2), Laney Bull, and Jordan Polk.

The victory made it two in a row for Warren Central and bumps their season record up to 18-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those two games. As for Neshoba Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6-3.

Looking ahead, Warren Central will take on Saltillo on Tuesday. Saltillo knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Warren Central likes a good challenge. Neshoba Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
