The Rio Linda Knights came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 67-58 win over Dixon. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rio Linda to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rodney Shead, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Rhamad Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Rio Linda's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-14. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Dixon, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
Rio Linda will be playing in front of their home fans against Casa Roble at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Casa Roble has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,603 points over their last 22 matchups. Dixon will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Pioneer is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.7 points per game.
