Softball Recap: Clearview Has No Trouble Against Woodstown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clearview). They blew past the Woodstown Wolverines 18-1 on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory was the third in a row for Clearview, bringing their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Woodstown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearview will take on Delsea at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Pioneers have won three straight at home, while the Crusaders won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Woodstown, they will square off against Salem at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolverines are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
