Rockridge is a perfect 10-0 against Sherrard since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Rockridge comes in on seven and Sherrard on five.
On Monday, Rockridge beat Riverdale 7-4.
Taylor Dieterich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Rockridge got a massive performance out of Estellah Bognar, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Bognar a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emilee Black, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Sherrard came out on top against Orion on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Chargers a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Savanah Hauger made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Hauger was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Nadia Anderson and Makenzy Moran did most of the damage at the plate: Anderson went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Moran went 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles. That triple marked the first that Anderson has hit this season. Marisa Neels was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.
Sherrard always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive games.
Rockridge pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Sherrard, their record now sits at 15-3.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Rockridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .377. However, it's not like Sherrard struggles in that department as they've averaged .362. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rockridge skirted past Sherrard 6-5 in their previous meeting on April 10th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
