If the Caston Comets were riding high off their 60-37 takedown of the North White Vikings last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Caston fell 54-44 to the Trojans on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Caston of the 43-34 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Caston lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grant Yadon, who scored nine points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Hook, who scored 13 points.
Caston's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9. As for Triton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.
Caston will head out on the road to face off against the Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (Argos is ranked 387th, while the Comets are ranked 370th). As for Triton, they will be playing at home against the Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
