Fairfield is 1-9 against Lakota West since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Fairfield Indians will stay at home for another game and welcome the Lakota West Firebirds at 1:45 p.m. on January 20th. Fairfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Wednesday, Fairfield didn't have too much trouble with Hamilton at home as they won 55-40. Given Fairfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Hamilton is ranked 565th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Myka Richardson was her usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with six steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Kayla McCoy was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Lakota West waltzed into their contest on Sunday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 50-37 victory over Notre Dame Academy.
Fairfield has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Lakota West, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
