The Fairbanks Panthers suffered their biggest loss since December 9, 2023 on Saturday. They were beaten by Mechanicsburg 55-26. Fairbanks was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-9.
Despite the loss, Fairbanks still got an impressive performance from Riley DaRe, who scored six points. Another player making a difference was Reese Poling, who scored three points.
Fairbanks' loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-13. As for Mechanicsburg, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.
Fairbanks will head out on the road to square off against Triad at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Triad focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Saturday. As for Mechanicsburg, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Northeastern at 7:30 p.m.
