Crestview extended their winning streak to ten on Friday, bumping them up to 10-0. They really took it to the LaBrae Vikings for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-7 victory. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.
Crestview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake Noling, who rushed for 112 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries, and also threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Noling has posted since back in August. Another back making a difference was Trevor Mcelhaney, who rushed for 131 yards and two TDs on only nine carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Crestview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 184 rushing yards in 20 consecutive games dating back to last season.
As for LaBrae, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the loss, LaBrae still got an impressive performance from Easton Armstrong, who rushed for 80 yards and one touchdown.
As of now, neither Crestview nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
