It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 92-44, which was the final score in Rochester STEM Academy's tilt against Lewiston-Altura on Tuesday. Rochester STEM Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-22.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ismail Nur, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Muhidin Ahmed, who scored six points.
Rushford-Peterson has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Houston on Tuesday as Rushford-Peterson made off with a 64-41 victory. Given Rushford-Peterson's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Houston is ranked 320th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rochester STEM Academy's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Rushford-Peterson, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
