Midview lost to Olmsted Falls last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Middies put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 8-2 victory. Considering the Middies have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Savannah Holcomb was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off nine hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Liv Keenan was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Savannah Presser also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
