The Wes-Del Warriors lost against the Madison-Grant Argylls back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Wes-Del fell 64-53 to the Argylls. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wes-Del in their matchups with the Argylls: they've now lost five in a row.
Wes-Del lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Trey Adams, who scored 14 points along with seven assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Adams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Corben Price, who scored 14 points.
Gavin Kelich was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Madison-Grant. Another player making a difference was Mavrick Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Wes-Del has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Madison-Grant, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wes-Del will challenge the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Shenandoah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. As for Madison-Grant, they will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastbrook has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 23.
