Fairview has gone 8-2 against East Hickman County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Fairview Yellowjackets will head out on the road to square off against the East Hickman County Eagles at 5:00 p.m.

Maddie McGowan was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Penning, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but East Hickman County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 12-6 margin over Hickman County. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Candence Cochran was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5. She also brought in three RBI, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adelynn Oakley, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. She also put up two RBI, which were her first of the season. Kylee Litton was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
East Hickman County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Fairview's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for East Hickman County, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.
