The Vista Murrieta Broncos will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Golden Valley Grizzlies on February 9th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Vista Murrieta had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They beat the Knights by the very same score they won with last week: 3-1.
Vista Murrieta was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Mason Page and
Markis Cavanaugh, who scored all three of Vista Murrieta's goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
Meanwhile, Golden Valley came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 1 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Glendale by a score of 3-1.
Vista Murrieta is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5-2 record this season. As for Golden Valley, their win bumped their record up to 12-7-4.
