Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kahuku). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Roosevelt Rough Riders 83-39. Winning may never get old, but the Red Raiders sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Kahuku was led to victory by Mystique Akina-Watson and Ronin Naihe. Akina-Watson went 9 for 10 on his way to 23 points, while Naihe went 8 of 15 en route to 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those 23 points gave Akina-Watson a new career-high. Kash Daley was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to five assists and four steals.
Kahuku is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.7 points. As for Roosevelt, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.
