Miami Country Day took a 78-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Saint Andrew. Miami Country Day has struggled against Saint Andrew's recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Miami Country Day had strong showings from Herbert Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds, and Miguel Orbe, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 38.4% of Miami Country Day's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Ashton Reid was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Saint Andrew's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alex Montes led the charge by scoring 23 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Montes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Vick, who scored 20 points along with six assists and two steals.
Miami Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Saint Andrew's, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
