Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Reedy

Reedy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against The Colony Cougars as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-20, 25-11.

Reedy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Graice Wade led the charge by getting five aces and one assist. Those five aces gave Wade a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nia Lamons, who had nine digs and three assists.

They weren't the only good server: Reedy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Colony only served three aces.

Reedy's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for The Colony, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 15 of their last 17 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Reedy is set to take on their familiar foe Lone Star at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, The Colony will square off against rival Newman Smith at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
