The Hillcrest Vikings entered their tilt with the Fairley Bulldogs with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Hillcrest blew past Fairley 87-46 at home. Considering Hillcrest has won four matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Hillcrest had a senior duo take command as Jordan Allen scored 33 points along with seven steals and six assists and Xavier Herron dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten assists. The game was Allen's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja?Corean Mathis, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Fairley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Hillcrest will head out on the road to face off against Whitehaven at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fairley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bluff City at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
