The Millbrook Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Apex. Millbrook was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Apex apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2017.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lauren Brown, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Graham, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Millbrook bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Apex, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Millbrook will take on Athens Drive in a holiday battle at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at. As for Apex, they will head out on the road to face off against Corinth Holders at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Corinth Holders focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
