Volleyball Recap: Moapa Valley's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Moapa Valley had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Knights, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Moapa Valley took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-6, 25-12.

Chloe Dalley went supernova, getting 11 aces. Those 11 aces gave her a new career-high.

Dalley wasn't the only good server: Moapa Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 29 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Moapa Valley picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-10. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Moapa Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Pahrump Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Democracy Prep Agassi Campus will challenge rival Boulder City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
