Cleveland ended up on the wrong side of a tough 60-39 walloping at the hands of Southeast Raleigh. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cleveland in their matchups with Southeast Raleigh: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Cleveland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Rodney Poston. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabari Green, who scored six points.
Cleveland has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Southeast Raleigh, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Cleveland will head out on the road to face off against Fuquay - Varina at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast Raleigh will be home for the holidays to greet Corinth Holders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Corinth Holders comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
